Known as the capital of European fashion, Milan is one stylish city – designer labels, shiny sports cars, tiny dogs; the city is the place for fashionistas. It’s also home to an impressive collection of historical and cultural attractions including a 14th century Gothic cathedral, a castle and numerous museums and galleries.
The Duomo, Milan’s cathedral, is one of the largest and most impressive churches in the world. Built from 325,000 tonnes of marble atop a total land mass of 12,000 square metres, it’s 157 metres long and home to 135 spires and 3,400 statues.
Oh fair Verona. Ever since Shakespeare named it as Romeo and Juliet’s love-nest romantics from every corner of the globe have been flocking to the city of love. In October we joined the throngs of star-crossed fans and followed the Romeo and Juliet trail through the city.
