Going Red at La Tomatina

What do you get when you cross 40,000 people with 150,000 tomatoes and a tiny town in Spain? The world’s biggest, squishiest, tomato throwing extravaganza – La Tomatina. This year we joined the masses of stinky, sweaty revellers in Bunol and it was one of the craziest experiences of our lives! Not one for dangerous activities (no bull running on our bucket list) we figured a festival with squishy tomatoes would be pretty tame. We were so wrong.

Let’s Get Dirty!

The Boryeong Mud Festival in South Korea is one of the biggest annual attractions on the expat (and Korean) calendars. The population of the tiny beach side town swells, as more than 2 million people flock to frolic in the mud. Here’s our experience from 2010.
